About Chu Lo;
In 2018 I was deployed with the Royal Navy to the far east. The whole trip lasted 10 months but 4 of those months were in Japan. Whilst in Japan I fell in love with the people the food the culture and a drink called Chu Hai. Chu Hai is an extremely popular Japanese sour fizz cocktail, available in every flavour you can imagine but always with a sour tang. When I returned to the UK I couldn’t find anything like it and so I decided to make my own alcohol free version so that everyone could enjoy a taste of japan. I felt uninspired by the soft drink options that were available in East Asian restaurants and it was when I started testing my products on markets that I knew I was onto something. Chu Lo drinks now comes in 5 flavours, Apple sour, Peach Sour and classic Lemon Sour. They are below the sugar tax and have 30% less sugar than the next closest drink. They are the UKs first sour flavoured soft drinks and made entirely in the UK. The heavy Japanese inspired branding is designed to enhance the experience and bring authenticity.
